I've had a truely amazing two weeks in Australia. Firstly a relaxing week in Melbourne and second a week in Tasmania for #UTASNewLits. It has been a remarkable trip and I will always remember the experiences I have had and the people I have met.

I leave you with a couple of shots from Tasmania last night and it's goodbye Australia... for now.

Spent a great couple of days listening to exciting talks and getting to know great people at the conference. My sessions seemed to go well and I ended up on local TV!

I'm going to write a proper blog post about the conference on my Changing Horizons blog when I get back to the UK.

During my time in Tasmania I visited a wildlife sanctuary. I held a wombat (which fell asleep in my arms) and saw kangaroos, wallabies and koala bears. I also saw the famous Tasmanian Devil which look cute but have sharp teeth and make the strangest shrieking noise!

I've been fortunate enough to be able to visit the island state of Tasmania over the past couple of days. I was based in Launceston but managed to visit some great places including Hobart and a raspberry farm!

Had a quick trip to the beach at Rosebud this evening just before the sun was setting. It's incredible to think that Melbourne is all around a bay and the water is so still.

Had the chance to spend the day with a special school, which was a very humbling experience. We went to Scienceworks in Melbourne, which was great!

Just been for lunch at a Noodle Bar and now wandered down to Mornington habour. Think I'm going to sit here and read my Kindle for a bit. I've wanted to do this for months.
